Movie Discussion Thread
Hello, Welcome to The TFS Movie Discussion thread where anyone can post on any movie to either recommend it to others or to discuss the shortcomings you may feel they had.
"August Rush": Just finished watching and strongly recommend to anyone. It kind of had an underlying meaning for me since I am adopted! http://imdb.com/title/tt0426931/

Re: Movie Discussion Thread
Alright then. * Sweeney Todd - It's awesome, also would recommend to everyone. It has content advisory to parents though, there is a bit of blood in the movie and a body count of over twenty I think, but it's a musical .IMBD Link - http://imdb.com/title/tt0408236/

Nah, I prefer plenty of blood to be...non-musical.

Re: Movie Discussion Thread
Try Shoot 'Em Up - lots of bloody shoot-outs. Awesomely cheesy shoot-outs, mightily clicheed shoot-outs, brilliantly funny shoot-outs and nods to and parodies many great (maybe) shoot-outs in movie history. All in all, makes for amusing viewing if you like lots of shoot-outs held together by the thinnest of plots (not a problem, too much plot would certainly ruin the shoot-outs). It's great mindless nonsense that merits just one viewing! Time well spent IMHO.

Re: Movie Discussion Thread
I liked Shoot 'Em Up. Best part, apart from all the shooting ofcourse , was the carrot scene. "Eat your vegetables."Here's the link to it: http://imdb.com/title/tt0465602/

Re: Movie Discussion Thread
I am eagerly awaiting that release, I feel Batman Begins was the best of the Batmn movies yet, and ranks as one of my favorites of all time.

Re: Movie Discussion Thread
I can't say if it was the best batman movie (only cause I was about 6 when the saw the older ones) but I enjoyed it a lot. Seen it a total of 24 times at last count (Only movies that beat that viewing total are the HP series and PoTC movies)

Re: Movie Discussion Thread
I think the last movie I saw was Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix.
I don't get out much anymore...

Re: Movie Discussion Thread
Criminy, JS, the first "new one" was out in 1989... the next in 1992... if you were about six....
That is, of course, unless you meant the FIRST one, in 1966? In that case, you're old. Now back to the movies... |

OH, I see
Well, I was around six so I don't know which one it was, but it was on TV and the year would have been '95
