Four More Years!!!!!
Senator John Kerry called President Bush this morning to congratulate him on his re-election and will give a concession speech at 1PM. Bush is expected to speak at 3PM.
My state was the hottest race in the country. Bush won by 130,000 votes. There are 150,000 provisional votes to be counted, but Kerry would need 140,001 of those, notwithstanding any that get thrown out. I personally made almost 1,000 calls this weekend and would like to think that I helped George W. Bush win. I'd like to comend the Senator for his actions today; he has earned my respect.

Republicans in Wisconsin hang head in shame...
Feingold, Kind, and...Kerry. I propose that Bush close the bases here and give them to Ohio and Florida. These folks don't deserve jobs... |

My husband and I were kind of thinking that Hawaii would go republican for once in forever....but nope, still democrat.
This is the first year I voted and don't you hate it when the people around you try to tell you who to vote for? and isn't it cra*Z*e how elections can get everyone fighting? I hold my own opinions, but I just agree with everyone and let the moment slide!!!

It's good news!
I'm neither Republican nor a Democrat. Why? cos I live in Nigeria. In any case, I do not remember any election I have followed before with such keen interest and with such tension. I hardly slept in the last two days, with only one thought on my mind... God let Bush win! Again why? Forget the partisan divide of Republican and Democrat, with age-old rivalries and die-hard adherents. I was very much aware of all what was at stake in this presidential election. This is one election that left very few people sitting on the fence. You just had to take a stand. No wonder, there were Democrats who voted for Bush, because they believed that here was a man who had the right values. Yes, it was all about values... and THAT was why Kerry lost. I wanted Bush to win because whatever policies and ideological leanings at play in the US always have reveberations in Africa and in the whole world: Funding for Abortions and the like, support for governments with warped ideas and so forth. Believe it or not, yesterday November 3, I followed the results EVERY SINGLE MINUTE (TV, Internet, name it), and never got a rest until the final concession by Kerry.
Yes, I agree that Kerry won my respect with his concession speech. In those few minutes of admitting that Bush had won, I saw another side of Kerry. If I could, I might have shed a tear for him... but thank God Bush won!!!

I am still hoping for some funding to armor those damned jeeps...
(A little inside joke, for those that haven't followed Bry and I). Isn't it interesting that the last Presidential candidate to receive 51% or better of the popular vote was that guy in 1988... I think his name was... George Herbert Walker Bush... yes, that was the guy. Perhaps we can make this "12 more years", if Jeb decides to step up. He's the Governor of a larger state, can certainly pull the Hispanic vote and is sharp as a tack. Of course, they would have to start inviting all of the retired Presidents to family picnics, just to be fair... Hey, if Jeb runs, I'm voting for him. |

Hee hee jeeeps.
I would vote for Jeb, but his nomination would drive his opponets to say "Not another Bush!" I do believe that his son George P. Bush will be the first Hispanic president someday and make the Bush's the new first political family. In 2008, I either like Giulianni or Bill Frist. (But mostly anyone not named Hilary)

I'm still waiting on that ;secret Kuwaiti Deal to lower gas prices just before the election.
Good work all fellow Bush supporters. I was an email Bush volunteer , as well as my Brother. Oklahoma bragged a very high Bush count. Bush 66% Kerry 34% Bry. .Are you going to change your avatar to Arnold for 2008?

Ahnold can't run for prez...he's not from the US, which is one of the stipulations for becoming the CinC.
I'm just going to say something election related here, just an interesting fact, not meant to disturb anyone. The number of voting age people in the US is 217 million out of about 350-400 million. (Not sure exactly) 60% voter turn out (Biggest in about 30 years!) so about 130 million people voted. 51-52% for Bush 48-49% for Kerry Bush recieved about 65million votes, and kerry about 63 million. As you can see, 65 million is not a majority, and neither is 63 million, when compared to 217 million eligible voters. Something is wrong with this country.

LOL.. You're killing me. Bush out performed "Bill Clinton and both of his elections, and no one called "something is wrong with this country." You can't seriously be trying to argue using the "GUESS at how many eligible aged voters exist."

1) Its an interesting fact, not an argument. I don't really, in all honest truth, care that much that bush was re-elected, and Kerry didn't win. I dislike them both.
2) I got those numbers of the US census site. I'm not guessing (though I was wrong about US pop. Its 300 million, not 350-400 million.) Maybe the Census is guessing, I don't know. I could be wrong. Gimme a break... are you seriously going to argue with me about the fact that this country is screwed up?

The country is just fine from my end of it. Unfortuantely, it is easy to be a liberal when you are young and have nothing. Bush overwhelmingly won the support of middle class parents.
I am not a big Arnold fan. I like either Giulanni or Bill Frist. Of course, our worhtless Republican governor is term limited in two years. I personally like Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell for gov. He wanted to repeal Taft's 1% state sales tax and he was the only Republican to support or gay marriage banning amendment (which passed by a sizable majority). On the subject of majority, if there are 100,000,000 voters, what constitutes a majority? 50,000,001 of course. If Kerry and Bush were vying for control of a company, Bush would get to make all of the desicions. Clinton won pluralities, the greates percentage less than 50%. Message to John: Tommy Thompson for Senate 2006?
