Was talking to my cousin earlier today. She's got a Compaq Presario that the hard drive seems to have went south in (it's giving the old 'click, click,click'). She needed a question answered about this so she calls the support #. The guy that answers the phone enters her information in the computer - it comes up that it's out of warranty. He tells her, "It's out of warranty I can't answer your question." Not even an attempt to even TRY to help her. She tells me, "No problem. That's the last Compaq I buy. " I then reminded her that HP and Compaq had merged. She added, "Then that applies to both companies.":angry2:
So HP/Compaq, you just lost a repeat customer. End rant. MT |

Hence the problem of Mass Production of fairly delicate equipment... but then when you get one custom built, you have to trust the the brick for brains doing it actually has some clue what's going on.... Which is why I build mine myself.....

You want to know whats worse? My current store is HP certified to do work on HP computers and printers. Try doing that. We had a guy work here that got so pissed off at them, he started cursing at her, and the lady hug up. Once in a while though, you'll get someone thats good. I realy haven't had a problem so far. But I still dread calling.
