Modem Review - AOpen FM56-SVV

Modems seem to be the single most frustrating add-on to deal with. Some proprietary systems won't take a new one. Some modems will only work in a certain slot. Some won't work at all with certain hardware.

I have installed over 100 AOpen FM56-SVV modems, and every one has installed the first time. This spans systems from P1's running Windows 95 through brand new AMD XP systems running Windows XP. Each one was flawless.

If you need a new internal modem, this is the one I would recommend.

The cost: as low as $15 from MWAVE

Hi Chevy,

Thanks for the tip, will take a look at those because USRobitics while a good modem can be very tricky to set up.
