I took my first trip to the San Antonio Zoo on Christmas day. Some of the cages there have so much criss-cross meshing that you can barely see the birds. There's also roping set up to prevent anyone from getting too close. Of course, the average parent here in SA Town has an IQ barely of that of a rock so there were plenty of kids bashing their fat hands against the cages. No wonder the animals didn't want to be viewed...
