Re: Steal This Wi-Fi
I leave my wireless open and just do a MAC ban on anyone I don't want on it.

Re: Steal This Wi-Fi
Actually one of my networking buddies found a solution to that, he set up a rate limited wlan connection with a router. Enough to let the kiddies have their fun hacking into his "unsercure" network and leave him be.
He does have a point really. my wireless is unsercured, I mean really i'm not all that concerned about it... Simply because everyone elses around here is anyways. Not also that also with guests if I have a guest come over with his laptop and he wants to show me nothing I do not want to spend my time configuring his PC to get past my secuirty... Re: Steal This Wi-Fi
My girlfriend's sister often brings over her laptop to do homework. It really is nice not having to configure it. I also don't like working on Dells so it's a bonus not having to touch it. :D

Re: Steal This Wi-Fi
I agree, recently worked on a dell and the customer went "whats worng with dell" and I just said "well for poeple like me who know how much each part cost, and how much they sold it for it makes us sick" plus the layouts of the cases are always totally crap.
In my case I don't remove my CD drive, and HSF to replace a power supply... |
