Microsoft charges customers for free services

Thousands of customers are paying almost $120 USD per year to Microsoft for an Internet subscription service that includes e-mail, security, and other features.

But Microsoft gives away almost identical services absolutely free in Windows Live and the Windows operating system itself, while neglecting to inform those who pay through the nose.

And there are also people who think that AOL was a GREAT service provider.

Re: Microsoft charges customers for free services

how do you think microsoft can afford to pay the amount promise for forwarding their tracking emails.

Quote:

"When you forward this email to friends, Microsoft can and will track it (if you are a Microsoft Windows user) for a two-week time period. For every person that you forward this email to, Microsoft will pay you $245, for every person that you sent it to that forwards it on, Microsoft will pay you $243, and for every third person that receives it, you will be paid $241."
and if you believe that...

In Britain lots of people buy bottled water, when the stuff that comes out of our taps is very drinkable. Sometimes people just feel better if they pay!

Re: Microsoft charges customers for free services

Being careful not to mention the name incase I got the wrong company but one well known bottled water company was in fact filling their bottles from the ordinary tap (faucet)...
