Re: Corsair releases its first 32GB USB flash drives

and to think many years ago I thought having a 20 meg hard drive was something. Now a 32 gig flash drive small enough to put on a key chain is really something. I wonder how long before a 100gb will be out.

Re: Corsair releases its first 32GB USB flash drives

So... I can buy a 32GB flash drive but I can only put 8GB of RAM into my PC?

Anyone else think this is totally uncool?

also with the flash drive vs memory, memory is so much faster right now then flash drives and operates at a much higher temperature, forcing spacing to let stuff cool

Re: Corsair releases its first 32GB USB flash drives

Very true, but I'd love to be able to cram my PC with RAM.

Re: Corsair releases its first 32GB USB flash drives

I bought a 4 GIG flash drive for X-mas, it comes with some protection and encryption softeware, and is built for duablity with padding and so forth, cost me 28 bucks...

O remember making a huge decision over a 256 MB or 512 MB not too long ago. And I have to tell you it cost more then the 4 GIG. And it was no brand generic type stuff.

Re: Corsair releases its first 32GB USB flash drives

HDs were supposed to release at very high capacities this year before one of the committee members had to delay it due to the process technology needing more stringent testing. Same story with USB-Ds.
