Several pedophiles are reported to be homeless with some even registering their homes as "near a bike rack" and the "woods behind Wal-Mart".

Isn't it that they can't get a job? They're already in a bad situation (probably dirty, poorly dressed and without anything even remotely resembling a resume), without help from other people, it'd probably be impossible to even serve drive-in's at a McDonald's. Sad but true.

not all of them are sickos, some of them were given that label because they mooned someone (college prank), streaked, took a leak outdoors, etc.

Yes there are sickos and they need to be dumped in the middle of the ocean but there are some that dont.

I remember watching part of a tv seris on pagans. And it argued that a lot of the things that we abhore as a society used to be accepted, or even revered.
It is interesting that we have built into us such a revolusion of sex offenders, when the term can cover many acts.
I would much rather have a homosexual caught cottaging living next to me than an unemployed yob living on benifits and having lots of wild parties.

I have a registered sexual predator living next door to me. He molested little boys. Guess what? I have two 5 year old boys at my house. We own a little over an acre, 1/3 of which are now off limits. They are not allowed out front, and they can't get in the van ahead of us and wait.

Has this man done anything? No, but by merely moving in, he has made a middle class American family alter its lifestyle. My kids are terrified of him and often refer to him as "a piece of crap" or "idiot pedophile".

The sheriff is over their constantly, because he lives with his mother and her granddaughter and they are worthless as well. Bench warrants for the girl's mom. Subpoenas for the girl. The girl's boyfriend getting arrested. A really nice addition to my part of the world.

I wish everyday that they would move. Maybe he would be homeless. That would be nice.

Bad luck Bry. I wouldn't want to swap with you.
At least your boys will grow up knowing that some neighbours pose a threat to them, and to always be on guard. And if thats not a lesson for today, I don't know what is.
Its just a great shame that it comes at the expense of their childhood.
I hope for you that these neighbours move out soon, or become model citizens.
But social disorder to one side; its not the pedophiles you know of that cause the most danger, it's the ones you don't know of.

We had one move in under a false identity from South Cali to up North and typically, as Western societies judge people based on facial expressions, he was always on the good side smiling and talking in a nice polite and down toned voice with all alike. Very helpful and well mannered... Picked up many weekend GFs too which is easy for everyone nowadays and had a lady staying over for many months with him (relationship). Average looking and built guy, well dressed and clean, similar age as Bry.

That's until one of the local teenagers went further South for a week to hang out at his cousins and reading the paper saw this guys face and identity details and that he just came out of prison for two prolonged rapes of 5 YO girls from age 3-5, one was his neice apparently around 9 months before that. He threw a fit and ran over to his house but never found him there. Then the local neighbourhood guys were all out gathered and he started to inform all with an uproar that this guy "Phil" is a known pedophile. They all threatened him to leave the area or they'd make his life hell, he just called teh PD each time, but the 'psychological and emotional bullying' got to him eventually and made him run away around 2 months after.

What made matters worse for everyone is, he was in charge of driving a minibus of 30 pre-pubescent girls to school for 9 months.

Every one of those households are scared what might have already happened but they don't know yet.

In Britain we do not know where registered sex offenders live. It is deemed only necessary for the police and other agencies to know.
The thing with Kalim's story is that the offender has now run again. Kalim's community is better off, but some other community is now in the same risk. Had he not been hounded from the community, but hounded from situations involving children, then many risks would be minimized.

He is protected by law to be allowed to live anywhere. That was a place I worked at for 2 months and have lived nearby before. I have (had) a daughter that age myself, and no way would I want him or his likes around. With such mentalities, they are not to be trusted even slightly. I'm not bothered what the law says about such p1gs.

Similar situation happened in Simonstone near Burnley, NW UK a little while ago when I was there. The guy turned out to be a hardcore BNP supporter who hasn't showed his face since.
