Rant - annoying forum.

Just need to rant about a different, very annoying forum! Ivirtua. I joined it a while back, someone told me to, but it was dead boring, and so I just left it.
But now, they keep sending me annoying, pointless emails, about 10 a day. I made sure all my preferences were set to stop them, but they continued... Anyway, I posted on there to tell them to stop, what do they do? Edit my post saying how "great a forum" it was. It is crap! So now I have to mark their emails as spam...

Piece of advise - don't bother going there. Stick with this one ;)

I kind of don't have time for forums at the moment though, because of coursework damn coursework! (And gaming in between :) )

Sorry to hear that , and yes , there are many forums and blogs that support themselves by spaming their own members , the only protection you can do is reporting them as spam with your email client program since they have your email address .

I may join it if I have the time and effort... Heh.

Though will it affect the overall performance of the system? Such as just starting something up, as that process would have to stop for another few processes to start at full speed, which would take a few seconds, surely?

I also was a member of such junk...They also sent me millions of emails per day so I ended up making a script to send millions of emails to their servers per day. They stopped in the end.

It only takes a few seconds to download the programme - Its less than half a meg! Takes about 30 seconds to install and have it up & running.

Less that 5 minutes all in all - Isn't that worth the investment in time, knowing that you may be helping to save lives?

Runs in the background when your processor has nothing else to do.

I just got my revenge... They spam me, I spam their website. They HAVE to ban me now! I messed up their website, their servers can't cope with the amount I posted...

I will do that thing DonaldG, when I get round to it... Heh

I didn't think of that Sgt_Grim_Reaper, though spamming them loads is much more fun, and proves my point more, and revenge is sweet! :)
