New pictures that leave minister over-exposed
![]() The Culture Secretary had appeared late for the event at Tameside General Hospital, in Greater Manchester, and missed the official photo opportunity with the other politicians – only to subsequently appear in group press photographs of the ceremony. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...-mostviewedbox

Lousey Photoshop job - They could have atleast sharpened his image to match the rest before publishing it - Gee, most everyone here could do better!

Re: New pictures that leave minister over-exposed
If this image was bound for a newspaper, then I doubt the subtleties would be seen.
What gets me is the bit in the article: Two weeks earlier, in a speech to the Royal Television Society, Mr Purnell said: "In both politics and television you devalue the only currency you have if you forfeit the trust of the public." We elect our MPs to represent our wishes, and to make wise decisions. And yet time and time again, the daily process of politics is based on bad decision after bad decision. How can we trust someone who makes a bad decision about a photo to not make bad decisions about legislation? |

That particular set of images would be very easy to match in seamlessly - It was a rush jub, done shoddily. Before you ask, yes, I could have done it better and so could the vast majority of most of us who do image maniputation.

Also note that the single photo was take from a lower angle and when merged, he is not looking 'up' as much as them.
Also in his photo the 'fill in' flash was stronger (see the faint shadow) whosh wouls account for some of the difference in lighting.

Re: New pictures that leave minister over-exposed
No inference.
I look at the story and think about the integrity of the politicians, the motivation of the hospital worker and the futility of it all. You seem to see the lack of attainment in the 'airbrushing'. So I wonder, if the edit was good, would you still care? It makes me wonder, again, whether man went to the moon. But that's a bit of a random connection! And when the Chinese go, they can settle the argument once and for all. |

I think that the Iranians should get there first. To accuse the zionist regime and mr. Bush of innuendo

Too late - all political press conferences are fake.

Re: New pictures that leave minister over-exposed
[oops, took this thread a bit off topic.]
I heard something about it on BBC Radio 4. I understand that the Chinese are just about to explore the moon, unmanned, with the stated aim of putting a man on the moon in the future. I think that they have all to gain, and much to prove to the world. And so if they can financially sustain it, it will happen. What is more interesting is that the analyst interviewed on Radio 4 thought that America would send another man to the moon if China begins to get close. |
