Did this guy overstep the mark?

This article, whilst trying to remain sensitive, makes it hard to judge, as it doesnt provide the joke told. Some jokes, do overstep the mark, but i hear a lot on mock the week for example, topical comedy, but it is taken as such, comedy, not serious!!!!

So, did this guy overstep the mark in terms of decency?

Good point there. I sure would like to see the joke. And who would wear an Everton shirt?
