our 1.35 is soon to be raised due to a government TAX (we already have plenty of taxes on gas, this new one's just called a "carbon tax" to make it sound better.) that means it'll probably be going into the 1.40-1.50 range. but our public transit system is outrageously overpriced for the service you get, and keeps increasing every 2 years or so. the government isn't all that bad, in my opinion, just EXTREMELY ignorant of the problems normal folks are facing (sure, their reason for the increases is for "better service" but unless they actually took the bus themselves they would never know how bad it actually is). down across the border, american gas is still being sold at around $1 per liter.
