Re: The New Anti Smoking Ads

In fact most smokers go to have a cigarette during these ads. what's the point of them then?

Re: The New Anti Smoking Ads

Most smokers do not realise that they are suffering from withdrawal symptoms.
20 - 40 time a day!

Make no bones about it, Smoking IS an addiction.

Every time they reach for a cancer stick, they are in the first stages of withdrawal from their last 'fix' about 20 to 30 minutes ago!

Rubbish? No. I was a smoker 20-30 a day. I hated it. I tried over the years to analyse why it appeared to be so difficult to quit. I had tried, over the years; Cold turkey, bribery, hypnosis, acupuncture etc... Nothing seemed to work

I eventually succeeded using nicotine replacement patches. I have not smoked for over 15 years now. They worked for me. Easy!

If you are a smoker, next time you reach for the coffin nail, just before you light it stop and think and realise that you are suffering from that withdrawal from your last fix only half an hour ago!

Re: The New Anti Smoking Ads

We all pretty much know its an addiction... hence we keep smoking...

Good for you for quitting... I tried once... went 17 hours before I wanted to kill the next person I saw, went out, bought pataches, and they were the closest I got to quitting... went a week with those.

But I can say I dont smoke every half hour... Im at about every three hours for the time being :) and thats my next step, I'm going to delay and delay between smokes where my body will get used to the lack of nicotine. Thats how a friend successfully did it, so I'm gonna try it!
