Drive your car to death, save $31,000

By keeping your car for 200,000 miles or more, you can save the money of buying a new car.

200,000 miles (about 320,000 km's) ... :S I don't think my car would be capable of that ...

I wouldn't want to drive a car that old... lol. I'd sell it at least to keep my pride...

PS I think Japan paid off Consumer Reports... They always have nothing but good things to say about Honda, Lexus, Toyota etc. :D

I didn't know Fords (other than trucks) or Lincolns lasted so long... However, 200k doesn't even begin to compare with what this guy got on his Volvo P1800: http://www.worldcarfans.com/5060620....th-anniversary That's right. Two and a half million miles.

I bet people will just jack up the wheels and set it to just power itself so the wheels just spin. only thing is that petrol costs.

Ford crown victoria and lincoln towncar share the same engine/same parts.

Crown vic

lincoln Towncar

Both are used by car services (limo/taxi) for their strength and reliability .
An average cab in NYC can go easily 800K
