A lot of retired GIs who are simply so worn out with life and work move to places like Thailand, and countires in Africa where living is so damn dirt cheap their retirement checks which would be considered barely enough to live off in the states gets them lavish life sytles.

At one point my dad even talked seriously of making this move figuring hey lets move to thailand, and then live off of my retirement check and live as kings. WE decideded not too.
