Re: School Supplies

This is sad... I was always the kid who would have the bare minimum not becuase my rents were cheap but becuase i wasnt afraid to resuse things and not just buy new becuase it was a new year i think thats insane. Teachers need to plan within their budget since they get paid as much as the average american and nto ask for irrelevant things. I had a teacher ask for 10 things of kleenex because she didnt like the schools and you know what they always sat on her desk and the kids had to use the schools brand! Thats sad!!!! By highschool i was down to 1 5 subject notebook and that would last the entire semester. Oh yea before you say oh well he struggled he was a bad student i was always a B or better student and could have been straight A's but didnt care to be becuase i didnt want to spend my entire life studying instead of enjoying it. Hell they didnt allow laptops in my highschool or i would have had one thats for sure... Stupid idiots requesting things like that from parents as far as i'm concerned If they cannot afford it themselves dont ask for it most parents in this day and age dont have the money to spend like that poor lady that had to not pay her cable bill so her kids could have expensive school supplies sheesh!

Re: School Supplies

We got given books for each of our subjects. Pens were nicked from the teacher or other kids. Only thing I think is stupid is uniform, costs a bloody bomb.

No more stupid school though

Actually since my parents are fairly well off they don't like my style.

Clothes, I want him cheap I wanna be able to screw them up and not have a 2nd thought in my mind
Supplies cheap as well, a pen is a pen it still writes.
Notebook, too heavy to have too many
Even my car is cheap, my parents had to beg me to get a car I didn't want one. But eventually after about a year of them nagging at me I got one.

Honsetly my biggest expensive is computers... everything else for me is typically dirt cheap.

Re: School Supplies

I was at a Wal-Mart last night (LOL, underage employment!) with my neighbors and we perused the Back-To-School aisles. I could spend no more than $40 in there and be set for the year. As a matter of fact I still have a notebook my dad bought me when I was in 7th grade. It's almost 13 years old and is still in perfect working order.

Re: School Supplies

I think its funny i never ever spent more then like 10 bucks from like 7th grade on. All i needed was a pen which would last like 5 months and a pen and i was set. I dont understand kids who need a folder and binder for each class. Heck most of the time i didnt even keep notes after the test becuase when finals came along i had the notion if i didnt know it i wasnt going to know it if i studied for hours or not. Heck i even got to the point last year my sr year in college i wanst even reading the books anymore and i did still get straight A's...
