Shampoo

So I was studying my wife the other day in her natural habitat, shopping. I have been studying this beautiful but terifying beast for quite some time, trying to understand her. She tells me we need to go get some shampoo. Remebering that just that morning, in the shower, I had 3 seperate, near full bottles of shampoo and just as many bottles of conditioner to choose from (and constantly pick up because I knocked them off into the tub), I chose to reminder her of this, in the air of doing a good dead. Immediately she went into defense mode, jerking her head to the side, scowling her forhead and pursing her lips, lowering her eyes, ready to attack.
Now lucky for me I have spent hours watching the crocodile hunter, so I realized I had just stepped unknowingly into her nest. Knowing that she felt her offspring threatened, I slowing backed up, head low and submissive, but keeping eye contact, all the while making my way to the safe area, electronics. To say the least, my heart was in my throat due to my near death experience.
But still I wonder why she needs so many bottles of shampoo at one time...

Kin, I'm not married but I've observed my female counterparts in various tasks and activities. In shopping I make an immediate dash for the safety of Electronics. If that area proves to be unsafe or compromised I make for Automotive. As a last resort I go to sports and hide in the bike racks until all is clear.

Either the shampoo is for someone else (close relative) or maybe she wanna try a new brand that might be better for her hair .

Re: Shampoo

Well from my perspective I only have 2 different shampoos cause my hair seems to get used to one and it looks dull and flat. Therefore switching between the 2 is good. Often I find a new one to try is no good so it sits there for other less fussy people to use or I use it for bubblebath.
A woman's hair is supposed to be her crowning glory, don't know who ever thought that up. That said, having your hair look and feel good is important. You should be pleased she cares enough for it to look nice.

Re: Shampoo

Well it looks as if I'm the odd one out. I argue my point with my girlfriend if we go shopping or anything for that matter. She know's she's not buying trash without a fight and for the most part, superior logic wins through. She's a physicist so she can see my point, mostly. Needless to say, sometimes she wins with logic too so all's fair in love and war.

It is odd how they're willing to pick up and seriously consider buying some things, and it's even more baffling that they go all crazy when you tell them 'it's crap, we don't need it, put the shampoo down, step away from the shampoo'.

I move in with her in a few weeks so I'm mentally preparing myself for a slew of gigantinormous shared-provision based conflicts.

LOL! I will use your method of retreat. In sports there is everything a man needs to survive for weeks!

No, this is an every week thing. There have always been mult. bottles. Sometimes different brands, sometimes not. The answer I always get is "we need it".

Re: Shampoo

I have heard beer is good for the hair. As well as egg yolks.

Well, this is the best reason I have read, so I can see this. I was just wondering. I step in the shower and there is all this shampoo and body wash and conditioner and face wash. One bar of soap, on bottle of shampoo is all I need. Anymore and I get overwhelmed
