Win7 updates the scores so the max is 7.9. Mine gets a 5.9 (HD) but 6.5 and 6.7 for the other components.

The new 5870 graphic cards can easily surpass 7.9 ince they're around 10% faster than a GTX 295. The scores are never very good. Not something to rely on too much.

Here's mine. Lowest is my CPU, which is a low-end first gen Pentium Dual Core CPU overclocked by about 44%.

I was thinking about SSD's.

Here is the main problem with SSD's.

They have a set write limit. After that (usually 256,000 writes or so) you can no longer do writes. You can read, however. That's why you can't use it for anything but your boot drive.

The problem is that Windows insists on its page file being in C:\, the boot drive (at least to my understanding), and thus it will be reading and writing from the SSD constantly if used as the boot. For *nix based systems like Linux, BSD, and Mac OSX, though, the swap drive is its own partition and can be located on a different drive.
