Re: China : cheap labor
I knew this already, and isn't it pretty obvious?
I really would not like to live in China though! Their government is aweful! Way worse than ours, and even worse than Americas! Which just shows how bad they are... |

Re: China : cheap labor
Slaves from China... I would have never guessed that from such a people... I mean look at the ships coming into the harbors on the west coast of the US... hundreds in a cargo container with a pot to piss in... gotta love their first class transportation.
Any communist government is worse them America's... but thats just me.

Re: China : cheap labor
CHINA, BOY & GIRLS....now owns us. Open & shut. They R wut we once were. If the Chinese did Not buy our soon 2 B worthless paper every mOnth......we woUld B more obviously down the tubes. iF THAT IS POSSIBLE. Which I doubt.
Worldwide cheap labor was the agenda underling the trade agreements. And I do mean worldwide. Look around U. Right here. I actually bought ($41) the NAFTA AND READ IT. Again I have pivotal article from HARPER'S, Sept 02 issue by Sr. Editor Walter Russell Mead in the HDDs in this system; WILL b HAPPY 2 SEND SEND TO anyone interested, not that anyone can afford NOT TO BE. Yes, it is invaluable, also ACCURATE, THAT WAS OBVIOUS THEN. Also 9 pages. Can neither be texted or seen on MTV. But can and has...been uploaded as atachment to emails often. Which was why I scanned it and parked it in the first place. I have friends now in China; they R geniuses, adorable, elegant, funny, dear and integrity driven. All under 30....though Hugo may now B 31. I should ask. They r the artchitects of Advanced Windows Care and other genius offerings. Their site is iobit. And, while their first language is Mandarin.....their English is wut U would expect from the classy & the evolved.

Re: China : cheap labor
China calls in their debt... we call in ours... don't think that because they are loaning us money that they aren't indebted to us as well. Many people don't understand that.
We have been giving China money for ages now, from even before WW2. One debt doesn't get paid off because they start sending us money and buying our note.

Talk about blinders: most of the inhabitants of Have Not New Orleans 9th ward....did not have the option to flee when Katrina was approaching. Pot 2 piss in? Know how many children live in poverty in America? How many adults? More each week. Blind ethnocentrism/nationalism......about as dangerous over time as the ebola virus. Just kills ya slower.

Japan and China - predominately export based economies - would suffer a major economic blow if the US were to ramp up production and increase tariffs (to match Japan's on our products) and finally drop China from the "Most Favored" trade list (something that should have been done years ago). |

The need for evacuation is a 10 year event. But, for the sake of argument, lets make it 5 years. $10 per week x 4.35 weeks/month x 12 months x 5 years = $2610 (Actually $2812.13 based on a 3% annual return). More than enough to evacuate a family of 4 well before the storm, and to sustain them until either the crisis has passed (storm changes track, weakens, etc.) or until assistance kicks in (FEMA allotments, grants, etc.) Personal responsibility. |

And part that is accurate: they need IMPORT VERY LITTLE AT THIS POINT, and their marketplaces=worldwide. RAMP up production?????? dO u GET THE WHOLE MODUS VIVENDI/OPERANDI unerlying the trade agreements/globalization, along with turning whole world into a source of cheap labor....WAS TO DO AWAY WITH THIS RAMPING THINGY? ROSS Perot SAW ALL OF IT; IT WAS OBVIOUS AND simple AND he GIFTED THOSE STILL awake even marginally.....with all the data via his bar graphs, pointer and his ears. Deaf ears....are utlimately defeating even to the purely and tenaciously moved. All the data is some mouseclicks away. U need not even get UP! that anyone should fail 2 exploit this option at his point.....for me ,is a kind of sin....and hardly bodes well or even the beginnng of a reversal.

My friends who live in other parts of the city....forget those in The garden district which was essentially spared, and even The quarter.....because they R not among the impverished in Louisiana.....had the option. It is wut it is. Forget catastrophic climatic events will only burgeon---as they ARE AS i TYPE.....until we commit to try to mitigate man made climate change. We r NOT EVEN SURE IF THAT IS POSSIBLE AT THS POINT. but we gotta try. My post was in response to one implying that those dinimishing Chinese who try to enter the US, r somehow proof of something meaninfgul about CHINA versus America. Forget as China emerges increasingly. VERSUS......THAT AMERICA IS GOING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. Katrina, for anyone except those who refuse to see......was meant to reveal some of America's sickness. This is about socio-cultural realities. Right here. This is in no way about Your FORMULAS. In this, those R moot. Just as they would be re the debacle of those returhing troops who appear in one piece.....but R not in any real way....being doomed in far too may cases. Like chepa labor.....they r fodder and disposable and simply human pawns. It's a related issue...and those R, unfortunately infinite right now. that U think we have 10, forget 15 years....makes my head spin.

1) It is with profound anguish now, that each day, along with everything else I do….I gather every shred of data I am able. Armed with all those data and SO, in no arbitrary or capricious way…..I could not take more or more serious issue with your “gist” than I do. And in this, I find not a modicum of any version of happy. 2) I am famously, and factory-loaded not only a person of faith in the potential of individuals…..I connect to and read individual every day….including professionally and always with the hope that I may have the privilege of fostering that potential. Wut I do not have the contamination of, is BLIND FAITH. 2a) NATIONS do not exist as some static essence. NATIONS CMPRISE human individuals. And they R marked by movement as all life is so marked. We must earn our lives every day…..via illumination and pro activity. Sitting on yr butt and lighting candles to this version of "faith" while also hurling invective at a dynamic human who reveres and gathers truth…..does diddly. It also defines the Problem. 3) This, for the first time in American history, is no longer a nation with a representative government. Hope was resurrected in the 06 interim elections. It showed us that more INDIVIDUALS WER WAK,IKNG UP AND FINDING THEIR CLARITY AND PASSION. BUT THINGS IS…..THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A GOVERNMENT AS SHAMLESSLY ABORGATING THE Constitution….forget comprising so many evil felons…..as currently. 4) Even among the Democrat candidates right now….for the 08 Presidential election, only little so not telegenic Dennis Kochinich, I believe, has the gonads to say that the trade agreements must B deleted. DELETED. And done ovah completely. Not ammended, DELETED. 5) Again, if U r really interested in OBJECTIVE DATA, AS OPPOSED TO PUTTING OUT THE STARS & STRIPES on Flag Day, wheel spinning and hurling unjustified invective…..provide me an email address to which I might attach the article I keep referring to and apparently wasting my life minutes in the process. Get up and get moving and gather those available data. And stop acting as if anyone is doing ME A FAVOR IN ANY OF THIS, PLEASE!

I grow orchids. The good bark I buy.....is from abroad, now. Did U know, because of the neocon agenda we R now importing more and more of our food? And absent the former safety nets? U like spinach? B my guest. U think a nation as vast as China could not grow just about anything it needs? Can U say ISRAEL? Know how big THAT COUNTRY IS? KNOW HOW FEW NATURAL RESOURCES THEY HAVE? Know WE import their fine produce? Jilly is finished wsith THIS <TWIBAT> with no upside. Buy a speedbag. I am a human. And in this thread, I am outta heah.

Re: China : cheap labor
For anyone even marginally moveD to full and accurate data...as opposed to blind loyalty, truncation, sefl delusion, simplistic thinking ,broad brushes, bigotry and nationalistic zeal absent DISCERNMENT... I am pasting something.
Earier, I emailed my beloved, adorable geniuses in China....who conceived and gestated iobit and the resulting brilliant software always progressing....again, I was tester on AWC for many months....by "accident" not there R any of those; everyone should get at least the free version. I linked them to this thread. Hugo just replied. U will C that one of the reasons China is the new America but to the 1000th power.....is about material ambition. Very Western, U bet. So get clear on the "Communist" Gov.....though it does preclude many things as U will C. But WE R allowing all OUR FREEDOMS 2 B PILFERED BY fASCISTS, it is not arguable, BUT it IS FELONIOUS so talk to The Patriot Act (Iinsidious sham), not Jill.. U will also see, that among the 1.3 billion PEOPLE THERE.....THERE r MY BELOVED FRIENDS AND MANY,. MANY of their ilk. Humans like Jilly....and everyone she respects and luvs. As I SAID....NATIONS....COMPRISE individual humans. Including Iraq. I am privileged to know individuals of all races, ages, countries, religions, backgrounds, professions, socio-economic and educationals strata. I am drawn to the same qualities in all beings. I pity both the (metahorically) blind and the bigoted. I would rather B dead than live with the contamination of either. Now, I will paste: Hi, Jilly We saw the article in forbes and the threads in techsupportforum. The stories have been on our top news here in China too and we all care about these cases. I think the root is that there are no beliefs in China except for money. Communist party hate all religions including old Chinese Confucianism, while Chinese people do need something to depend on. So (Evil) Cults become popular in some area in China. I am a Buddhist. I need money to live and realize my dream. But I refuse to be controlled and motivated by money. ___________________________________________ I am so blessed to know some of the people I know. Including now, some at great distances I may nevah have the joy of hugging in gratitude. But that material ambition is the engine in this moving at warp speed emerging & soon to be the most powerful (including militarily) huge nation....and trumping the original American paradigm in this, again, at warpspeed.....is wut it is. Also anyone running some twibat that their ancestors immmkig\rated here 4 religious freedom, not material betterment....bite me, OK? Get real. Now, everyone delve into America's collusion in THIS and for whose gain, at whose expense and by wut means; you're on your own. ______________________________ Another mail from Hugo just arrived....my final offering---again, from him----willl now B pasted here: From my point of view, the cases reported in Forbes are not common in China and absolutely not the engines of fast-growth in China. If you can see how hardworking general Chinese are, you can understand why China becomes wealthy. For example, a programmer in IObit only gets less than $500 per month (but the salary is enough for him to live well in China). So we can always make freeware :). _________________________________________ I know them; I luv them; their reality nourishes me. Their software reflects everything they r on every level. ANYTHIHNG THEY DID WOULD. Wish more humans might aspire to this potential. then.....the world might just have a shot at reviving and surviving! If the Fascists don't bomb Iran and Gobal Warming can begin 2 B revered, I mean.

Re: China : cheap labor
eDIT: AFTERTHOUGHT: "Communist" nations....though China U should now observe, is unique HYBRID....OFFER FINE, FREE EDUCATION as was once a cornerstone of America's greatness, no more.....and high end free healthcare as Cuba still does despite the poverty of the average Cuban citizen. Whole other species.
Hugo is now a Ph.D....not sure about the other guys. Think he had to hobble the rest of his life to have this privilege? Of course if U study Daoism.....ancient China....forget the miracle of Chinese Medicine ....U will B opened to a whole Universe of the real potential of life. But nobody here will, so I gotta dilute my FAITH & stop investing in the potential of individuals.....at least in this thread.
