Security cameras were rolling when two pit bulls attacked a five-year old boy outside of a Detroit gas station on Saturday.

The boy and his father were walking across the parking lot when the dogs rushed towards the boy.

The boy's father and the owner of the dogs quickly pulled the animals off, but one of the dogs rushed in again and pounced on the boy a second time.

Fortunately the boy escaped with minor injuries.

Police later confiscated three dogs from the owner's nearby home.

She told reporters that she was sorry that her dogs had escaped and attacked the boy, but added that she plans to fight for their return in court.

I HATE owners like that, who can't control their damn dogs, and I hate the way Pit Bull have been bread.

I don't think they should be allowed as pets, with these STUPID owners.

Agreed. But don't necessarily look at the breed of the dog, what you need too look at is the way these animals are raised by the owners.
This is the start of the problem....

Although some dog breeds are bigger and stronger than others, the key thing is nuture. I've known Pitbulls, German Shephards, Rottwiellers, Dobermans etc which were more likely to drown you in slobber than attack and that was all down to how those animals were raised and trained.

The same applies to humans...if a baby is born into a family where violence is the norm, they are likely to develop with similar traits.

However, any dog is capable of attacking someone/something....even ones which have previously been very good with people and other animals and again the same can be said about people, some people just 'snap'.
