Re: Parkour

It's just a way to give drop out and chavs something to do which we can call semi productive. Its so useless, i really don't understand how it ever caught on

Well that could also include a multitude of things: American Football, Cricket, Tiddlywinks, Curling, sumo wrestling, and so the list goes on.

If it is exciting and keeps a younger generation running about rather than sitting at home it is a good thing.

Re: Parkour

1st things 1st theatheist what gives u the right to 1 call me a drop out nd 2 call me a chav i am neither of dem so i would appreciate it if u kept ur thoughts to ur self. ur probly saying dat coz u cant do it nd wish u could nd english paul thanks m8 i strongly agree with u if a sport or hobbie keeps u from sitting in doors nd wasting away doll dosing like the above person den its definatly worth taking it up more than halve of the population sit indoors playing games and rotting there brains and the games now days r startin to get more nd more violent look at wen manhunt come out kids thought they would copie it nd if i remember correctly a young lad from london got sentenced for copiein the game hence the reason it got banned so if a sport like parkour stops kids playing games like dat den mayb more of the population should find a sport like PK
soz bout long rant lol

Re: Parkour

@mayhem2004
Think we were probably a bit rude yesterday for not saying hello.
Hi mayhem2004, and welcome to TSF.

Boy, I have to work my brain hard to understand your text. Probably comes of being dyslexic (although all the experts just said I was thick).

I think, though its only a matter of time before all the estates that used to say 'no ball games' will have signs saying 'no freerunning'.

Re: Parkour

You can't judge how bright someone is by how they type on a forum.

My buddy, he is a contractor as a dev for a major company hes bringing in in the high 6 digit salary every year.

But if you talk to him online in a causal sitting he'd talk just like mayhem.

He says that why waste time correcting yourself, and ensuring your typing properly when your only point is to get your point across, and not to show off your grammar skillz

The thing with language, both spoken and written, is that it is used to convey a message. So providing the message is clear, all is ok. But as use of a language starts to change, there is a risk that a message will be lost between two people. If you spoke in German to me, you could make your point very well, but I wouldn't understand your point as I don't speak a word of German. And worse still, if I thought I could speak German and you also thought I could we could have a truly awful conversation! And that is the fun of dialects.

Anyway, this is well off-topic and probably needs its own thread.

Re: Parkour

i agree u cant judge some one becoz of the way they type but if it makes it easier for some one to read then i think you should have they respect to type in full english for the other person after all if you want respect yyou got to show respect

You're right, but sorry - I'm not a native-speaker and it is rather difficult for me to decode what you wrote without punctuation marks. Well, I look at this like it challenges my knowledge of english. It is even rather interesting
