Those look more like mortars to me.

Just a few months back we found one of the biggie under what was to become a parking lot on base.

Farmers used to run into bombs quite often in the 60s and 70s, generally every few years a farmer runs across one or two in Germany today.

World War 2 nukes where so big there was only one plane in our fleet that could carry them. The above picture is the smallest nuke they had then.
