Drug-resistant TB strain raises ethical dilemma

Robert Daniels has been locked up indefinitely, perhaps for the rest of his life, since last July. But he has not been charged with a crime. Instead, he suffers from an extensively drug-resistant strain of tuberculosis, or XDR-TB. It is considered virtually untreatable.

(I know....U put a smilie....I don't buy it; this is waaaay too important 2 blow off.)

1) And all three re your first sentence identical, no question.

2) Re the last....U mean those of us with the gonaeds and integrity to blow the WHISTLE on the sadistic/abysmaL treatment of hundreds of thosands of cannonfodder kids returnIng from the 10-years in the planinng "war", IMPLEMENTED with abject contempt for 99% of the world including YOUUUUU which has made the world 7X more dangerous?

U mean those of us who R responsible for TRULY honoring the poor "trOOps" by seeing 2 it that the fasticst/phonies who exploit & moronic, terrified citizens, forget the Constitution...though that is changing finally... whose exploited terror empowered martinet, cowboy "daddy" sociopaths to "PROTECT" THEM AND ACTUALLY believe this crap????

....u MEAN WE WHO really care about hundreds of thousands of canon-fodder, returning troops and their well being when their lives were destroyed in service of 1% of the populaton? and who were being treated like garbage & were persona non grata...predictably???

Why don't U enlist?

U mean those of us who read and think and seek who work to harvest facts...objective truths...get the underlying agendas???? And care? And risk?
U mean those of use who can not bear that American ecomony is down the tubes...along with the Middle Class....our TAX BASE FROM JUMP? All part of an agenda!

U mean those of us whose marrow is chilled by a carefully chosen talking head without a brain who is basicaly Faust? Amd who was an actual sadist when little??? And cares so much about yewwww that until he was force d2 do otherwise.....had to appeal to his terrified base by replacing science with creationism? including re global warming????

Don't worry, babe....FORGETTING.... IS NO LONGER AN OPTION.
Thank GOD.

I know this was total waste of time....but it is not normal to accept stuck & clueless on some levels. Waaay 2 painful.

Somethings R beyond even my propensity 2 find the humor. This level of malleable....in a human....is terrifying. Same deal with those raised/brainwashed to become suicide bombers for Allah. No different.

Now go....tell me U were playin....cause there is a SMILIE!
omg

Re: Drug-resistant TB strain raises ethical dilemma

I was joking... cause I thought you were as well

did 6 years in the USAF did time in both war zones

But back on topic

Could anyone here accept the "one must be sacrificed for the betterment of mankind?

I believe so... if this strain of TB infects more and more people, it could turn into another AIDS situation where people are dying because we dont have a cure... and more people would die then necessary.

But also I think of this mans liberty... he;s right, its like being framed for a crime he had no control over, the dice rolled and he was chosen. But yes they could atleast give this guy a window and something to pass the time!
