More Vista Pathetic

Again....it is wut it is.

This, from this Dr. Gizmo's newsletter I get:

3.5 Vista Gets Poor Reception
Sales of Vista have been slow; well down on expectations [1]. Additionally it has received bad press from some important industry pundits about its device and software compatibility problems. Indeed LockerGnome's Chris Pirillo has very publicly announced [2] he was "upgrading" his personal PC by removing Vista and going back to Windows XP. Pirillo may well be concerned about upgrading as another flaw in Vista has been discovered [3] where Vista may downgrade your installation to the status of an illegal copy if you install certain third party software it doesn't like, a fault now confirmed by Microsoft. And the unkindest cut of them all: Gizmo dared to suggest in his February editorial [4] that you shouldn't upgrade to Vista but rather wait until you buy a new PC, Now I bet that one had Bill really shaking in his boots :>)

Nice find Jill Chris is dramatic but knows what he's talking about nevertheless. Just stops the rather naive people from pushing Vista in your face for no valid reason and from rebelling masses by backing up Vista rather than condemning its obvious noted flaws (as he stated). It works for some, wow. But its still in beta and causing problems left right and center, as the majority of MSDN members I tested with screamed, and not fit for $300+ charges. Heck not even $20.
Unless your in business and forced to, I wouldn't upgrade to it at all, at least since SP1 or 2 comes for it (by which time Vienna is to be near release..). There will be many other flaws of it yet undiscovered, some approved through the notion of "bugs" they couldn't know about and others, by no way even reasonable to be in such mass product releases.

Hi, Kalim!

Most interesting comments! But only issue would B.....will Vienna come with full symphony in black tie??? Good acoustics?

No, wrong.....real issue will B.. will MS still B in business at that juncture??? Given the justifiable, and, in ways restrospective plummeting respect (the patina finally wearing thin).....I wouldn't bet the farm on that!

Re: More Vista Pathetic

give me xp pro with the aero interface, and i'll be happy. xp has always been plenty surcure for me, and vista is just a pain. i can't even run the startup apps i need to in vista because they havn't passed the ms spynet yet. how lame is that. and why won't it let me force it to run on startup? i'm just going to buy a couple more copies of xp pro to keep on hand for future computers i may build.
