What should 2 men do if they stole 3,000 lottery scratchers, which got marked as stolen, but some of them were winners?

Well, that's a stupid thing to do... Pointless, they aren't exactly going to gain anything from them!

They lottery can deactivated the whole lot of them, rendering them useless. That is what we did when I worked in a lotto store.

They will go to jail , because all the lottery tickets have a serial or code for the store , so once the store manager claim the group of tickets stolen , they will be marked by the police . They better burn them even if they had winning numbers . They are useless .

here recently a whole container load disappeard,although they were cancelled they appeared as normal winning tickets when presented
in stores with a lotto machine to scan them it was not a problem as they would come up as cancelled
but in the small stores without a lotto machine it was a problem,we had to put the store stamp on each ticket and only cashed tickets with stamps from our store which was a pain,not to mention the abuse from customers when you refused to cash winning tickets

we reguarly get faxes from the lotteries commision saying certain books have been stolen from agents and have been cancelled
your working solo with a queue of 20 people and some one gives you a fistfull of tickets and you have to waste time checking them against the list,cash one of the cancelled ones you wear it

If the crooks are smart, they'll sell them dirt cheap to an unsuspecting victim.
