There's a lot of young people on this forum and many of our staff are still in school. At the end of the day this is a technical support forum and it shouldn't matter how old you are. What is important is that we have a common interest in computers and computer related problems.

apart from the fact as John says that we are a PC community, you will find that we mingle well in spite of age differences because we feel that age is not really that important. What happens brecause of the age differences is that everyone gets a view of things from different aspects, yound & old, when someone posts in a non-technical thread, which we also have available.
We have our rules and one of them is that (providing you keep your message polite & clean of profanities) we don't discriminate anyone because of race, gender, colour or age. Everyone has a right to a view and to express it, providing it's done within the framework.
If you think that you're alone at being young here, you will find that you're actually among more young people than you can imagine. We encourage readers/participants of all ages .. we older folk might learn something from you younger ones and you younger ones might be able to get a better understanding from where we elder and possibly parental folks are coming from.
Remember everyone here is undera pseudonym, it gives no indication of wjo or what you are .. so just join in and if you want to ask something do it! If you feel you have something to say in answer to someones problem, say it.

At the end of the day it's your opinion that counts and not your age!

I agree with Done_Fishin. It's great that we have people of all different ages, sharing opinions and views.

I'm 13, on 14 in April.

Thats the great thing about internet forums. Noone has to know your age so they are basing their judgement of you on what you say not what they think of you as person. I'm 14 BTW 15 in 3 days!!!!

Hi Ryan. I would have posted earlier, but with the walking stick, bad back and arthritis it took me a while to get here. Jump in with chat and tech advice whenever you like and we'll try not to talk about wives and jobs and bills when you're around.

Koala I always thought of you as being the grandson I haven't had yet .. wow now I know why I feel so old! but I've yet to get the walking stick!

as for the other teenagers that have written before, I would never have known there ages had they not posted them somewhere before .. and they give GREAT advice .. even to an old codger like me ... I'm the bald fuzzy haired one sitting in the "circle" by the stage in the muppet show !

So welcome to the madhouse then Ryan .. sorry I meant the forum ...
Lots of friends here for everyone ...

btw I am 55 ...

There's a saying that you're only as old as you feel!

I prefer to think of it as
"you're only as old as someone else makes you feel!"

I sure don't feel any older now than I did when I was your age!! .. and I doubt if anyone else does either!

Whats old?

I'm younger than koala But reaching him quicker than he knows

And it shouldn't matter about age, as long as one sticks to normal rules of mutual respect, intelligence and decency. You'll find very very few who come near breaking them here But theres always the odd one or two.. keep that in mind.
