Well....the reason it was Oscar Nominated isssssss, the work is a sly and pithy metaphor! Yes, indeed.

The dog owner is America at large.

The series of enemies are terrorists.

Their actions represent 9-11.

The GUARD DOG.....is this current Administration.

The message: wake up America so U do not end up as U R depicted in the last frame.

See? It's even MORE BRILLIANT than perhaps the artist knew!
