Superbowl Super Proposal
Ok, so this guy here wants to propose to his g/f during the super bowl. Do you think this is a waste of money? Do you think it is romantic? BTW, it will cost an estimated 2.5 Million.

Waste of money and not romantic at all, unless she's a really big football fan. And now it's been made public and he's getting donations and publishing adverts, she's sure to hear about it which will spoil the surprise. He'll have spent $2.5million for her to read about it in the local paper.

Why would he post a website about? Don't you think she might find out that way?

The only reason he wants it during the Super Bowl is because
A. it only means something to him (he never indicated she was a big football fan) and B. it's challenging for the sake of being challenging He's doing a few things wrong, he's making it about himself when any discerning person knows it's all about her, he's doing way too much for what will end up as a one liner at dinner parties in 2 years, and the wedding couldn't possibly live up to an engagement that big.

Super Bowl fans and football fans are two different thing my friend; there is no shortage of people who come in last minute and pretend to be excited about the sport because the big game is on. Hell even I watch a little of the world series and I hate baseball.

It's one of those things where it's the thought that counts. How many woman have husbands that are willing to shovel out 2.5 million on top of the price of the ring just to ask her to marry him?
What would be absolutely horrible is if she said no.

He's a moron. I wouldn't be surprised if this is some sort of scam. Remember all the people collecting donations to help families victimized by 9/11? Bam.

this guy is ridiculous! 2.5 mil heck if he has money to throw away sure its an awsome idea but lets be realistic.
If you ask someone to marry you, you are 90% sure they will say yes because otherwise you wouldnt ask ... i think those 2.5 million would be spent better on A. the wedding B. the honeymoon C. the life after both A and B.

Re: Superbowl Super Proposal
Grow up, he should take his wife-to-be to Paris or Venice or something like that or some other classically romantic city. It'll cost less and he could propose at the top of the Eiffel tower overlooking the city. That's how I'd do it.
Or... He should go all out for the class and propose at the bowling alley or supermarket, he could get some strippers and some balloons. It'll be a few minutes to remember for the rest of her tacky life with her classless husband.

Re: Superbowl Super Proposal
No, it's NOT worth it - even if it proves to his woman his utter idiocy and absurdity (there are less expensive alternatives for her to do that).
And, of course, it is NOT romantic - nothing mainstream and mimic is. It has to be HIM, not a fast-food "recipe" (regardless the cost, it's still "off the shelf"). It is not the proposal that counts, it is the kind of husband he will be. And the way one proposes has nothing to do with the latter. (And, coming to think about it, it's better for her to swear "I knew you were a buffoon because your proposal was not original or outright pathetic", than to say "You tricked me with that flashy/romantic/unique proposal of yours and now I realise you're certainly no better than my highschool sweetheart / the pool cleaner / the post man / the Managers at TSF".)
