fine, i won't kill you, this time...
i have met people like that, and the main problem is that they are closed minded. they come with an idea that they have had since day one, and when you try to tell them the truth, they lock up because it means that they were very wrong the whole time, and they don't want to admit it. i wonder if she ever managed to change the "box's" processor or if she took the "pc" apart instead.

Yeah, stubborn is definately the word.
As sinclair_tm said, they are just closed-minded, they think they know what they are talking about but they really have no idea of what's going on 'behind the scene'.
If they really sat down and thought about it they would probably understand. I mean, an image doesn't just materialize out of nothingness now does it

I would have slapped that stereotypical blond on the face really hard if I was the nerd. She didn't even try to listen to him and then she goes and complains to one of her friends who, likewise, knew nothing. But the friend actually listened to the nerd.
