Western's are good HD's. I have had 1 in my computer now for about 3 year and its showing no signs of failure. Touch wood.

they rock IMHO....I've got god knows how many WD drives...7 in this box alone, and they've all put up with the 'abuse' I've put them through (which is no mean feat)

but they just got a deal from wd, and are passing it along to the cust. i use wd and maxtors as well, without any issues.

I use WD exclusively in my production machines. My server has a 20GB Seagate because that was the only one I could get brand new at such a small capacity. My room mate had a Maxtor last him through 3 years of abusive use which is amazing! Now his PC is eating SATA devices...
