I would actually like to see the statistics of both. Divorice rates, suicides, affairs, etc. I bet you arranged is much lower because of the culture and religious factors.

Cons: you dont have the real love relationship but thers a chance that can still happen the one your parents might like might not be the perfect one for you

Pros - no dating; most likely a small amount of divorces because unless the personalities just outright clash, then they two are always learning about each other; you are constantly learning about the other person
Cons - the person could be ugly and really hard to look at; the person could be really ditzy and dumb; the person could clash horrifically with your personality; you could not like the person.

I would give them my opinion, but I would let them choose for they would be the ones getting married, not me.

No pros, human beings who are old enough to understand and commit to marriage are capable of making their own decisions and should not have that FREEDOM taken away. Parents do not always know best either and forget that their children, and their happiness and wellbeing, are more important than imposing their will is.

Would you choose the mate for you kids if you had the choice?
Absolutely not, my children will be brought up to be individuals and independent free thinkers who can make up their own minds and make their own mistakes. I will support them whatever they do and make them aware of the consequenses of their actions when I disagree. Of course, a healthy dose of punishment never goes amiss to set them straight but children should be respected and so should their opinions and wishes (within moral boundaries etc). I would make a point of meeting the other half too.
