Everyone is assuming a fact not in evidence: that the TSA employee knew who Kip Hawley is. Given the entrance requirements to become a baggage inspector - the ability to fog a mirror - its most likely the idiot has no idea who the Director of TSA is.

One sure way to put a stop to this maddness would be for everyone to carry a whole bunch of stuff that draws attention. And thereby so bogs down the system that the airlines step up and say its affecting their business. Afterall around here, money talk, everyone else walks.
