That guy seems to think he know a lot about guitar, though he doesn't really. Some nice guitars there though.
The volume going up to 11 is just strange, and quite stupid, like the guy...

Joe, it's a comedy.

It's an actor playing a typical rock guitarist. The whole point is that the character is an idiot who thinks an amp with 11 on the dial makes it louder than 10.
