Gurkha: the newest in SUV that makes the Hummer seem like a chick car

The Gurkha, which is manufactured by Armet Armored Vehicles Inc. of King City, is used by both the Canadian and U.S. military.

its good year most likely, either that or continental... but ya, i have seen several of those around... not sure if they are better than the humvee or not... the armor isnt that much better,..

ugly? yes, pollutive? well it has a bigger engine than the other one, however does have a better cat converter, big? well ya, it weighs in at a light 5ton.. not good to drive? i think they are a blast to.. except when they get blown up... weak? nah they are actually quite powerful now, that they replaced the old engine. but one thing is, we are actually adding more armor to them.. if i can find a pic online ill post it... it is quite interesting

oh and if it was as unpractical as everyone says... why is it so commonplace over here? it is still the most mobile vehicle we have, ntm put four of those in a convoy with our gunners in the turret.. that is a lot of firepower with minimal collateral damage risk versus a tank.. also costs about 1/10th that of a tank.. and if i remember these are cheaper than that bug lookin gurkha

They maybe practical for the army, but, if you have it as your own car, it is really unpractical. You can't put a pram in it.

Uh dude, what century are you living in? No one would ever cut you off if you drove this:

No one would EVER scratch it because then you could "accidentally" bump into their car.

And it probably has enough horsepower to pull a trailer with a few cars on it.

Well...
I think it is good for the army, but nothing else. I have found that people with big cars, can't drive, or park. And that would be the same for anyone who drove this.
And crushing their car for a scratch? Isn't that just a little too harsh?

I'm sure the environment is the least thing a soldier's worrying about when they're dodging bullets, and I wouldn't blame them... it's a shame they don't have better armor than I've heard- but I suppose that comes at the cost of weight and speed.
