I saw that, a few days ago, when I was looking at the satellite images of Debby and wondered when they were going to call it a storm. I could see the distictive counter clockwise rotation.

Isn't that amazing. Something that once cost around $10 dollars to fill a few years back now cost $25 to fill.

Yeah, it definitely sucks.

Lucky for me, I don't have to pay a cent for gasoline ever again- I'm going to college, where I won't be bringing a car, and by the time I get back the Jetta will be off lease and I'll have a diesel car of some sort.

thats half true. the government has got the rules and regulations for building those so twisted, that its next to impossible to get any built. it has taken an oil company almost 12years (i think thats what the news said) to get through the red tape to get the approval to build one.

I heard it from school. From a few teachers. Some say that there is only 20years left of oil, some say 30, some say 50, and some say 100. We are running out, and we do need to find another way of running cars, there has been some made, but too costly. And we need to find another way anyway due to pollution. If you think that there is several centuries left, think about how bad pollution would be. Espically as the population is growing.

Think about it.

They will just use it as an excuse to rip us off at the pumps again, but unlike a slacker who gets called out by his boss when he calls out of work over a dead Grandparent for the fifth time, they will get away with it.

I paid $1.56 for gas the day before Katrina, now a year later, I'm still paying close to $3.00. If my math is correct, if NOLA gets hit again, we'll probably all be paying over $6.00 a gallon from now on.

It's funny. I was talking to my Uncle about this yesterday, and he screamed "NO! $1.56? It must have been $2.56! It hasn't been that low in years!" - Nope... 1 year ago, the day before Katrina, I filled up at a Wawa for $1.56 / US Gallon. It only seems impossible.

The latest projection has Hurricane Ernesto smacking Cuba on Tuesday and the Gulf side of Florida by Wed/Thur. The Keys may be hit hard.
