Pluto is no longer a planet

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14489259/

Well I'm over 40 years old and everything that they taught me in school is just getting thrown out the window. With this new solar system, new math, etc. I should just go back to school and learn everything all over again.

Unreal

To be honest, i'm not that surprised seeing as they found a larger mass of rock and gas further out in the atmosthere. Although it will be interesting when we go back to school to start our gcse's. What will we get told???

Realistically man......

And this really doesn't surprise me. After all, it has the weirdest trajectory in our solar system, and its moon is lik2 2/3 the size of it.

But I read somewhere that they said Pluto is just another rock floating in the space near Neptune, just Pluto was the most visible.

a planet is now something that has cleaned up its living space, as in there is nothing else floating in its orbit. but there are several large rocks that hang out in the earths orbit.

by cleaning out its living space they meant that the trajectory of the object has stablized, if you have noticed, jupiter has a lot of debris in its path as well, that is going to happen. but plutos trajectory is the most erratic of all the original planets... in fact that last "dwarf planet" has a more stable trajectory than pluto.. ntm it is bigger

clean and trajectory are two very different things. no wonder so many other people are complaining that the deffintion is as clear as mud. who thinks these things up anyway? i life in this solar system too, so why couldn't i vote? maybe we should add a poll as to wether or not pluto should be a planet.

Make up their minds. In a science lesson, if there is 2 teachers, one says: 'Pluto isn't a planet', then the other says: 'Oh yes it is'. 'Oh no it isn't'. 'Oh yes it is'. 'You wanna bet about that'. 'Yeah, I do!'. 'Com'on then!'. Then a fight starts, and all the students are like: 'What the ****'. Then the teachers stop fighting, and say: 'Oy! I heard that! Give me your journal!' Then they start fighting again. Then the students are like, well this is are chance, lets fight! And then they start fighting. Then the teachers tell them off, and put them all in detention, and then start fighting again.
