beach

where are some of the nice beaches?

i live in california .. near the beach
and well not so nice

but my opinion would be invalid because i cant compare with anything

i heard thailand has nice beaches~

rating the beaches from 1-10 10 being the best would be helpful~

I went to Destin, Florida on my way to Disney World......... 6 years ago.

It had a REALLY nice beach: white sand, blue-green seethrough water......

Never come to Galveston: bad beach. A lot of seaweed, brown water..... ick..... Although there are a lot of beaches in Galveston, some are cleaner than others (because they are private beaches that you have to pay to go on) but in general I don't like it. But then again it is the closest beach to me....

When you live inland, any ocean beach would be an improvement over the beaches we have at lakes an resevoirs.

2 Here, All the Sewage gets pumped to sea , Loads of Seaweed/slime and the water is a blue/brown, Pretty unclean.

Some places in the UK have beaches i would rate at 6. But Edinburgh gets a 2.

P.J. Hoffmaster State Park in Muskegon, Mighigan. That is my beach of choice. Right on the perfectly blue Lake Michigan. Beaches, Dunes, wilderness, only a few hundred people on a *really* busy day. The beach stretches a good mile or 2 so plenty of space. Water is usually around 70 degrees F most of the time.

Hmm, it's an unresistable temptation for a beach bum not to post in this thread... So, here we go:

Kefalonia (Makris Yialos on the first pic, Myrtos on the second)

Lefkada (Kathisma on the first pic, Porto Katsiki on the second)

Zakynthos

I can go on posting endlessly...

The Atlantic side (Caribbean) of Panama. Chiriqui is very nice, as is Bocas Del Toro.
