Re: Whats on your CTRL+V

Macbeth, King of Scotland, was born on 17 October 998, to parents heavily connected with the royal family of Scotland. His father served as the chief military adviser of King William, who was the father of Duncan. His mother was a servant to the king. William grew very fond of young Macbeth, and allowed him to attend to attend his meetings and formal events, and sit with him on the throne. He also ensured that Macbeth would get a proper, formal education, a luxury that his parents did not have the opportunity of receiving. When William died, he made sure Macbeth, then still a young man of 25, got a substantial share of his wealth.

When Duncan took the throne, he also took a liking to Macbeth and appointed him to the post of chief military adviser after Macbeth's father tragically died after being run over by a horse cart and dragged over a kilometer, at the age of 51. Macbeth became very good at his official position, and advised King Duncan through several major wars. Due to his expertise, and despite having never been on a battlefield, Scottish losses were kept to a minimum. He was famous for his extremely advanced tactics of warfare from a disadvantageous position, and many times his troops were victorious even when outnumbered by as much as twenty to one. His ideas revolutionized warfare, and variations of many of his tactics are still in use today. Macbeth was named third in line to the throne after Duncan's two sons. After Duncan mysteriously disappeared in 1040, his wife and two sons fled to an unknown destination, giving Macbeth the official title to the throne of Scotland.

Macbeth's reign was relatively harmonious early on, and included several years of widespread peace and prosperity. Under his rule, the influence of Christianity grew rapidly, and he deployed priests and explorers to sail across what is now the English Channel to mainland Europe, and established several bases there. He personally sailed on the Atlantic Ocean, even reaching as far as what is now Iceland. However, he was not prepared for the cold weather there, and had serious health complications the rest of his life due to that voyage. Though under his reign he did not establish any colonies (his bases in Europe were attacked by wild animals and the remains of the men there quickly fled back to Scotland), the information gathered from his widespread travels led him to write a book and compile one of the first detailed maps of that area, gaining him wide acclaim and dispelling many myths the people had about those distant places.

(A fictitious account of Macbeth for English class)

The AC series air filters complete the xxxx {brand removed to comply with TSF advertising policy} range of dust CONTROL solutions, providing an unparalleled air filtration and cleansing system. An essential part of any healthy workshop environment. Unlike traditional dust extractors which collect dust and shavings from the machine as they are being produced, these air filters REDUCE the large quantities of airborne microscopic particles that inevitably escape into the atmosphere.

(Part of a product description of an ecommerce website I am doing for a client)
(a new summer catalogue is out - hence reduced TSF activity!)
