Good news I hope for Iraq but is it right for us to celebrate somebody's death? Doesn't that bring us down to the terrorists level? Yeah it's war and people inevitably die but it surely doesn't make it any less wrong.

Maybe we should threaten Baghdad and Afghanistan with a nuclear strikes, I'm interested to see if the nuclear deterrent actually works against narrow minded, ignorant, self-important, brain-washed morons who see death as a good thing.

Dr. Harold Shipman murdered over 200 elderly people by giving them overdoses of morphine. Like our recently deceased foe Abu, he was just a mental case, screwed in the head who got all the wrong ideas and convinced himself he was doing the right thing. IMHO your heads are in the wrong place here, the bigger picture is more important than your satisfaction over the death of a sadistic killer. The bigger picture being our families, friends and servicemen in Iraq having a safer place to work, and indeed the rest of us. Afterall, this war is about oil. Eerm, I meant eliminating the terrorist threat to us all.

True but that's just a measure of how sick he was, it's not a measure of how happy you should be now that he's been mopped up. Like I said, you should be celebrating the fact that he can't do it anymore. That, I believe, is the only good aspect about this and it is a very good thing. Shipman was put in jail so he couldn't kill anymore and we were elated that a serial killer was out of the picture, he eventually committed suicide - the coward. Don't you think these two scenarios, although very different on the face of it, are actually equivalent?

This is of course just my opinion, I don't always subscribe to the 'eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth' methodology of justice and I never believe it is necessary for people to die.

The war is not about oil. If it were, the oil prices would drop (like they did when zarqawi died). I liked the whole oil/Haliburton theory much better when moveon.org force fed it to me in 04.

The murderers are murderers concept is a sound theory, but I could say that cars are cars and as long as everything is OK, then a Yugo is the same as a Mustang. Each one must be taken on a case by case basis. I celebrate his death because it provides closure for me from the video where he does hid OJ impersonation. That freaked me out big time! Once again, it is not our job to judge our fellow man. It is God's job. It is our job to arrange that meeting.

I heard last night that the Taliban have appointed a successor to Abu. They're all gonna have to be wiped out if we're gonna finish this but I fear killing one will spawn another ten believers of the propaganda and potential psychos and we're in a vicious feedback loop.
