Hello, my introduction

I have been a member for a couple of years but wasn't using the forum. I'm in the military and the last couple of years have been a little hectic. Back at work now and I will try to be more active.

By the way, I have an old IBM Thinkpad; bought in 2000, think it is an R version. need to wipe the drive and restart over, can someone pull me in the right direction.

Great at "cracking" but not the hardware software interface stuff.

Hi seabee,
Welcome to the boards.
I believe with the thinkpad, you will need the factory restore
disk to reset it to factory state as they are bios locked to
boot only to the restore cd.
If you don't have the CD,you will need the floppy drive that
connects to that unit so you can boot to a boot floppy.
You can download the files for a boot floppy from www.bootdisk.com.
You can use the floppy and run fdisk to remove and creat a partiton,
and the format command to format the drive.
You will,of course need a windows CD to install windows.
