Smookin Joe's Introduction

You heard the old saying "Which is the any key?"
Where is the Introduction Forum.
Oh Hello!
Many things have happened to me of late. None of which I would say was terribly productive. Computers yep got a few of them. Aches and pains lots of those. Obligations and responsibilities OH YEAH. Dreams turning into reality.....nightmares mostly.
I think I am an optimist caught in a pessimists body.
Again Hello everyone please try and go easy on me as I have this foolish idea I can do anything....given enough time.
Speaking of time I must go now but I do hope the future will be a good experience for all.
Joe

Hangingout here is sometimes a good diversion. I use it myself.

Don't feel bad, I taught a mod about using the Quick Reply Button (the one next to the QUOTE button at the lower right-hand of the post box)

And hi there!

Thank you
I had difficult situation the other day. I was trying to remove some program called Instant Access, from a tenants computer. I could find it in the System Information but it was IMPOSSIBLE to find it in the registry. All searches for the file/program or parts there-of brought no results (in the registry). Norton or Windows regedit.exe nodda thing. Went so far as to search for other programs that were loaded per-user run (possibly they would be side by side in the same folder). Nothing was coming up.
No problem finding the file but I had (boot) to dos with my old Norton Commander to remove it.
On rebootup...
Error Rundle32.exe can't find file p2esocks_1043.dll.
Some success in that it doesn't load anymore but still annoying.
Then I had a thought (This is over a 3-4 day period of a few hours each day)
What if I didn't acknowledge the Error message. I ran both Norton and regedit continuously/concurrently and while searching for anything remotely similar....they all appeared in the search. Everything from the Run folder showed up.
Why didn't this happen the first time I searched?
How can I make sure that this type of thing never happens again? (false results) Life is way to short!
I use adaware/norton utilities/spyware doctor and none of these could clean it by itself.
Well the wife just called me to supper and I can't miss Corner Gas so I just thought I would send you a quick response.
See Ya and thanks for the welcome.
Joe
