Thumbs Up New member from Scotland

Hi, my name is Chris and I live and work in the beautiful Scottish Borders.I use my computer (HP Pavilion, Windows XPsp2) mainly for business as my wife and I run a bed and breakfast and holiday cottage, so use the internet a lot, mainly for advertising, bookings etc. Also for online shopping as we live out in the sticks.

I came across this site after searching to remove a "clickover" infection about which I have hopefully opened a thread in the right place and done it correctly. This is the first forum I have joined, so am new to all the jargon and protocols.

I have always thought that as the internet is such a great tool that it is a great shame that there are so many people out there who spoil it with all the malware - it make you so cynical, untrusting and paranoid. It is refreshing to find you guys out there who are willing to help ordinary users like myself.

Anyway enough of that. My main interests are cycling, hill walking and gardening, but have little time for any especially in the summer when the weather is best. I used to work in architecture and then went into building for 20 years before coming here.My wife and I built our place by ourselves over the last 14 years from old farm buildings and still have more to do. I am fairly competent with computers but am lost when it all goes wrong, so hopefully will be able to learn more from this forum.

So pleased I have found this place.
Chris
