Thumbs Up Greetings from California :)

Hi All,

Brand new to the forum...and also brand new to modding my own PC rig. I have a Dell XPS 600 (sigh...if I'd only known then what I know now...) that overheated and burned out one of my SLI cards a week or so back, and since then I've had the mod bug. I've added two 120mm Antec fans to cool things off more efficiently, a fan controller, and a new single GPU to replace my old pair.

Well that wasn't quite a greeting from California........back on topic! I'm a freelance graphic/web/3d designer with a recently-completed bachelors in 3D Animation and VFX. Now that I use the programs capable of using every ounce of power and speed my PC can produce...I'm aiming to learn the right ways to get it to produce those numbers :)

See you in the forums!
mrErick

Re: Greetings from California :)

and welcome to the Forum

Dells are rock solid machines and perfect for 90% of users . . but as you found out, they do lend themselves to modification or upgrades well.

If you need a first class system, you might consider building one . . If you are intrrested in doing that, I suggest you look at this for some ideas to get started
