A few questions

hi, just a few questions. i want to know how to set a non pre-defined avatar. there is a huge selection of avatars but i've seen a lot of people with non standard avatars and i would like to add my own as well. also, what are the points under each username. what do they mean? how do you get them? etc

Hi and welcome to the forum,

To get a custom Avatar one must have a minimum number of posts on this forum. The number 500 comes to mind.

The points are awarded (2 for new thread and 1 for posting) to each person who frequents the form. There is a store on the forum where you can redeem your points for computer items (cables, speakers, etc). You can also buy some of these points.

Hope that helps you to understand the point system. Will see you on the forum and hope you enjoy your time with our family.

You poor windoze users and your memory issues. My old machine with it's 384 megs of SDRAM never runs out of memory. If I find something I can't do, I go find the appropriate software package it takes to run it.

And the 500 post requirement for custom avatars can be circumvented by way of monetary donation, so I understand.
