Hello Everbody at TSF

Hey there. Jus thought i'd say hi and give a brief intro about myself.
Why am i on TSF? Been having problems with a half decent PC i've just built and didnt want to muddle through all on my lonesome. lol.
Tech background: Not much!!! I've always wanted to build my own PC and am fascinated by the insides of PCs. Started a job with ok pay last year so thought i'd give it go. Started with 2 cheap pc's i boughht from some one at work (Medions, ddr1, P4 etc) n had a bit (ok ALOT)of a play around with them. I think i learnt a heck of alot from those two pcs n its a miracle they're both still working (albeit with everything changed except the mobo)! I'm using one right now!! Then tried some cheapies from ebay, an asus, gigabyte etc. And now i'm on the one i want. P7N diamond mobo, Q6600, 3 x 9800gtx+, if i get my current problem fixed i'm just waiting on a powerful enough psu for the three cards. But to be fair the jury is def still out on this set up. The three cards should be nice, but after a quick test of the set up with just one card i was not impressed. Have not got into overclocking as yet but gave this a try n could only get up to about 2.7ghz with the q6600. Whereas the gigabyte with same components did it all for me. I jus flicked a switch in the bios n got 3.5ghz straight away (did not push it any further). That was enough to max oout COD WAW on a 42 LCD tv with no probs.
Sorry that wasnt very brief was it? Anyhow thats where i'm at at the moment, oh, apart from sitting down and sweating on the outcome from a total hard drive erase (killdisk) and os reinstall.
Be good, people.
Regards
Andy
