A very grateful user!

Hi: This is Deborah and I have never introduced myself. too busy trying to figure out this contraption of mine.

All of you are my lifeline and my first line of defense! This is the best forum and I really appreciate the generosity of all of you to help people such as me. I just wish there were more that I could do to repay you all- gave some money but that just seem so inadequate!

My computer is my lifeline. I'm a management consultant in my own business and am also working on my PhD. I am determined to figure out all of this computer stuff- but feel as if it's been taken over by demons. I've been spammed like mad lately, gotten blasted with more virus attempts than ever before and have a laptop that I think is possessed.

Only know I'm so grateful all of you are out there.

Thanks from the heart!!!

Hello, and welcome aboard. Just took a glance at one page of your previous post list, looks like the spyware etc. has tried to hang you out to dry. But don't despair! Keep after it and follow through on the help and suggestions you get from the security team here, (and they are good at what they do) and don't relent until your computer is clean. Your investment in time and patience is worth the results. And you'll learn in the process.

Again, welcome to TSF!

It is a shame that folks who need computers in their day-to-day lives can't just turn them on and use them, but that is what has become of us.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, so make sure and button your system up. Really, with the full suite of programs that we recommend here, the chances of an infections become very small.

BTW, Merry Christmas!
