Hello from Southern California
Hello,
don't know if you visit this post or forum often. If you do, just looking for a suggestion for my old VAIO PCV-RX680G which I dearly loved when it came out... and it is very general - what I could I hope to accomplish in upgrading this system? In particular what is the best graphics board I can get before it's just foolish to invest more because the processor and/or other peripherals just won't allow any more improvement in performance? I know the graphic board should take care of itself, but in reality my 3GHz Pentium 4 Compaq laptop outperforms my Vaio with some CAD related software I have. Still the RX680G did very well with a lot of games, and with video processing. I stepped up once a long time ago to an ATI Radeon card, but now I'd like to get Call of Duty 4 to run, for example, and the RADEON that I have won't do well, I believe. Just asking - I hate to buy an expensive graphics card and not really get that much in performance. Thanks if you can respond to this post. Hi Kevin, welcome to TSF.
![]() First, you'll notice that I've put your post into a new thread. One rule of the forum is that you don't hijack someone else's thread. Second, this forum is for introductions only and you won't get an answer here. I suggest you repost your question in another forum such as Video Card Support. When you do, try not to keep repeating the question.
