Outerinfo brought me here :)

So, I hate this stupid Outerinfo virus and curse on whoever created it, but it did lead me to this pretty cool forum, so hello. :) I am 28/f living with boyfriend in a suburb of Orlando, FL. Have little to no computer knowledge, so I probably will never be useful, but I am fun and nice haha. Hello to everyone.

Thanks! Anybody know how that outerinfo virus gets on your computer? I don't recall going to any funky sites or opening any strange e-mail...

I've no idea, but you could ask our security team in General Computer Security.

EDIT: I see you've already posted a HJT log. You really should have followed the steps here first. However, as you've already posted the log don't do anything else until you get a reply. Please be patient as our analysts are very busy.

Thanks...I just found that myself. Unfortunately I Googled "Outerinfo virus" and it took me right to that message and I was in such a hurry to get rid of the darned thing that I just went charging forward like a bull in a China shop. :)
