hello to you all & what a great site this is!

Hi all,

I am pretty much a novice when it comes down to the brains of a pc though i am well familiar with the workings

Anyway ive joined here yesterday as my old pc been stored away for nearly 4 years after a virus, then my kids had a feild day on it & made the damage worse.
After finding this site & asking for help i am delighted with the response.
Ive had a quick browse of the site & already decided this would be a great community to be part of so here i am & hopefully with you guys & your guidance i will be able to fix my old pc for my kids to use.
I would also like to get some advice on my laptop which ive had since new & although im inexperienced ive somehow managed to keep everything running smooth till now with little expert advice. Im sure there will be room for improvement there!
